I completed a major assignment for school and decided to celebrate with friends at our department's Christmas Party. I had a great time. I really had a great time. December 5, 2009.

I had a great weekend...low keyed, no drama, no working on trying to find things to do......Just relaxed and enjoyed the Historical Square life God has given me for this season in my life.

Baby shower was really nice. It showed the true meaning of family and friendship.

I am hosting a baby shower today for my friends Barbara and Michael. Baby Pancho will be arriving shortly! His plans have already consisted of Mommy going on bed rest Whew! Pancho you are going to get it! I wish them well they are great friends!

So important, I have been in VBS all week excellent time to fellowship with believers.

Today, I am feeling pretty good about me!
I enjoy work more I realize now that multitasking can be very overwhelming and stressful.
I regards to me going to school and working at the same time basically, because I didn't say NO to outings on the weekends. This included hanging out with girlfriends or family. This FALL I will do things different. I am making a promise to myself to not multitask so much doing the week. This will free me up to think about my job doing the day and school at night or the weekends. In the meantime, I will enjoy this summer with relaxing evenings and weekends!

Wedding!

I attended my first wedding, I think since my divorce it was lovely!
I think this marks the beginning of a new me! I enjoyed the ceremony! For those of you who know me and I mean know me well, I normally do not attend or enjoy such activities!
Jackie is changing and that is all right with ME!

I am so grateful! I have time to exercise, clean up, workout and take evening walks.
Talk to friends and really listen. Shop for food and really cook it. Today is a good day!

End of the Semester

Wow! May 7, 2009 the semester is just about over for 2009 Spring. I think I can, I think I can. I am so happy and thankful to be so close to finishing another semester at DBU.

This Spring I will have 12 hours completed for my Bachelor Degree BUT GOD!

I received an Awesome word from one of my Babylon Sistas last week it was prophetic and true. I step out on that faith and changed a situation in my life thanks FRIEND!
That's a powerful word I hope to never take it for granted.

The Internet 10 years from Now!

How will the internet affect our lives in 10 years?

1. the laptop I am currently using will be obsolete
2. the air card I using to access the internet for $60.00 a month will be free
3. the use of cell phones will be more common than home phones will be considered dinosaurs
4. webcam will be used by everyone to spy on each other’s activities
(similar to the security camera)
5. less paper money more wireless transactions (similar to finger printing transactions)
6. Internet service will be free because the internet has made lives so simple
it will be a standard for all homes built in the next 10 years.
7. online courses will be the norm (with video camera)
8. I start every morning listening to internet radio from my laptop. Once I am up and ready
to begin my day, I check my bank account online. I begin my day by checking my AOL
account. Once I arrive at work, I log on to my work computer and check emails from
two separate log in network systems our newest (GROUPWISE).

9. My job is basically checking on new clients receiving information on old and new updating the information in our network system. Before my new supervisor for 6 months started I kept both paper and a computer spreadsheet, now I only do a spreadsheet that is available to email to all the courts, supervisors and management teams. The system of keeping all documents available by spreadsheet has proven to be very effective.

10. Emails are a must for communicating effectively with staff more than 25 people a day. Pop -ups are great for quick responses. The fax machine is a great networks source. However, the current network services work great for quick emails and solution to many problems that a solved by a click or touch of a keystroke. My current assignment links me to a large server Dallas County. Dallas County currently repairs most problems through a help desk. The biggest problems they experience are passwords. Many employees including myself forget their passwords before they use them again.

School

I just finished typing about 39 vocabulary words for my American History Class, I love this class I love learning but and Yes there is a but there are just too much work too many research articles I realized that by the time I learn how to test and study in the class it is almost over. History is very fascinating to me. I look forward to reading for fun and not for comprehension to take a test. Gotta get a lil nap before work I have about 15 more vocabulary words to complete this chapter.

NO EXCUSE

I have no excuse for not working on assignments for school this weekend, because it is too cold to go anywhere the temp today March 28, 2009 is about 38 degrees!

I learned a new word today, while reading my Journey by Lifeway, it is actually Friday, March 20 Bible read ,I skipped over because I was tired and wanted something to read to get me through the evening! Yahweh-yireh means God will provide one of my favorite scriptures Psalms 37:25 It reads from my ture.identity bible I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor their children begging bread. Thanks Jesus for being my provider!

Spring Break is over for me it never started

I am ready for this week! Today is Sunday! My Sabbath, I have rested and spent some time with me! I am thankful! School continues to be a challenge, I am ready because I have prepared myself to finish. I must stay focused and grateful!

Spring Break

I thought spring break meant relaxing, fun, adventure, and leisure time.
Well not this chic school is keeping a sister very busy!
I am looking forward to the summer break!

Laptop initiative

Laptop Initiative is a great opportunity for children to learn. I have stated in previous discussions how my circle of friends and their children use the Internet. My nieces and nephews absorb a great amount of time on their computer games and toys.
The laptop initiative is a great tool for educating children. The more children are exposed to learning instruments the more equip they will be in our fast pace technical world. Most jobs require some computer skills. These jobs consist of the employee’s ability to be a self starter with the basic computer skills as part of their knowledge.
Our children along with other countries should be given every opportunity to receive and be exposed to the latest technology available. The laptop initiative is a great opportunity to invest in the learning stages our children’s future. I believe in the phrase “a mind is a terrible thing to waste” they are going to channel their energy somewhere.
The laptop initiative is a great avenue to steer our children in the right direction. We should provide children with early computer skills and other tools available to assist with learning. They are our future we should invest early to ensure they are ready and equipment with the necessary assistance to be come great leaders, teachers and more because they have been provided the necessary tools.

I am so thankful it is Friday! Busy week for me school, work, living arrangement!
I realize I am in the wilderness there is a lesson in the wilderness. I must stop complaining and realize that no matter where I am God is with me! Devotional thought Lord, I am home where ever you are.

Hopefully! I will find something that inspires me. I am a little nervous!
Work has been some what hectic! I need my space! (HOME)!

Patience

I know what, I want I am glad to know what I want
but the hard part is finding it.


So I try and be as patient as possible. I pray that this is the right season to make this decision.
How will I know I believe there will be no major stress in this decision. Peace and certainty will be the leader.
